हे सरस्वती माँ। तेरा खजाना सचमुच अवर्णनीय है। खर्च करने से वह बढ़ता है।, और संभालने से कम होता है। आदि काल से ही हमारी भारतीय संस्कृति में शिक्षा का बडा महत्व रहा है। शिक्षा को अमरत्य का साधन माना है। " सा विद्या या विमुक्तये" का मंत्र संसार की एक मात्र हिन्दु संस्कृति से मिलता है। और इस प्रकार से हमारी संस्कृति ने सनातन काल से ही गुरु शिष्य की परम्मरा के माध्यम से शिक्षा को जीवन का एक महत्वपूर्ण अंग माना है। वेदों धर्म ग्रन्थों में सन्निहित जीवन की इस मूलरूप आवश्यकता को देश की वीरांगनाओं में विस्तारित करने का संकल्प लेकर बुन्देलखण्ड के गुरसरांय क्षेत्र में समाजवादी विचारक डॉ0 राममनोहर लोहिया के नाम से महाविद्यालय की स्थापना की गई। बुन्देलखण्ड के इस अति पिछड़े क्षेत्र की गरीठा तहसील के गुरसराय कस्वा में सन् 2010 में समाजवादी विचार धारा के विस्तारक और बालिका शिक्षा और उनके उज्जवल भविष्य के अग्रदूत श्री दीपनारायण सिंह (दीपक यादव जी) द्वारा दिनाँक 23 मार्च 2010 को भूमि पूजन कर महाविद्यालय की नींव डाली गयी। महारानी लक्ष्मीबाई की कर्मभूमि झाँसी जिले की गरीठा तहसील सम्पूर्ण भारत वर्ष के अति पिछड़े क्षेत्रों में से एक है, और इसके पिछड़ेपन का मूलकारण सदियों से शिक्षा का अभाव रहा है। स्वतन्त्रता प्राप्ति के बाद से अब तक बालिकाओं की शिक्षा का इस क्षेत्र शैक्षिक विकास करने के लिये कोई अग्रदूत नहीं था। मा0 दीपनारायण सिंह जी ने शैक्षिक विकास करने के लिये अग्रदूत बने क्योकि अब तक बालिकाओं की शिक्षा का इस क्षेत्र में कोई बालिका शिक्षण संस्थान न होने कारण लाखों छात्रायें शिक्षा से वंचित रह जाती थी। गरीठा क्षेत्र के पूर्व विधायक श्री दीपनारायण सिंहजी के द्वारा ने बालिकाओं को उच्च शिक्षा दिलाने हेतु डॉ0 राममनोहर लोहिया महिला महाविद्यालय गरौठा रोड गुरसरांय में स्थापित किया गया। महाविद्यालय को उ0प्र0 शासन एवं बुन्देलखण्ड विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा अगस्त 2010 में 'कला' एवं 'विज्ञान' संकाय में अस्थाई मान्यता मिल गयी 2012 में महाविद्यालय का प्रथम शैक्षिक बेच पास हुआ जिसमें महाविद्यालय की शत् प्रतिशत छात्रायें उत्तीर्ण हुयी 2012 में महाविद्यालय को कला एवं विज्ञान संकाय में स्थाई मान्यता मिल गयी। तदुपरांत सत्र 2014 में महाविद्यालय में शिक्षा संकाय (बी.एड.) विभाग की स्थापना की गयी, इसमें भी संस्थापक महोदय की सोच के अनुरुप बालिका शिक्षा को वरीयता दी गयी और सत्र में मिली 100 सीटों को बालिकाओं के लिये ही बी0एड0संचालित करने का निर्णय लिया गया। 2010 से लेकर 2021 तक महाविद्यालय में लगभग 8000 छात्रायें अध्ययन कर चुकी है, और वर्तमान में 1800 छात्रायें अध्ययनरत् है। शिक्षा का संकल्प जो संस्थापक जी द्वारा लिया गया है और यह शिक्षा की ज्योति अनवरत चिरकाल तक चलती रहे इसके लिये समस्त प्रबन्ध समिति पूर्ण रुप से प्रयासरत है।
